"I called on 7/22/2025 and spoke to a representative from the office to have my auto policies cancelled. They confirmed having done so and said we may even get a little refund back. I was delighted at how easy it seemed to be. I asked if we needed to do anything else, and they said no. So imagine my confusion and shock when the autopay notification popped up a month after we sold our cars and two weeks after we moved out of the country! Not only have we emailed and texted the office multiple times, we don’t even have a way to turn the autopay off for cars we don’t own. I’ve never experienced anything like this and it really goes to show how far the US is sinking. What a shame, and still- my policies are not cancelled, I don’t own any cars, and I don’t even live in that country anymore. How does one resolve that?"

When you called on July 22nd, we promptly submitted your cancellation request and updated your mailing address as you requested. However, the final processing and refund calculation are handled by State Farm’s regional office, which can sometimes take longer than we’d like and is outside of our local office's control. Although you may have received an autopay notification for August, please rest assured that your policies are in the process of being canceled, and you will receive a prorated refund sent to your updated address. We understand how confusing and inconvenient this must be, especially given your move abroad. If you need further assistance or have more questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at 541-686-1522. We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to address your concerns."
